Viejas Bingo moved inside the Viejas Casino in 1994. It was preceded in 1977 by the Viejas Bingo Room which operated in the nearby Ma Tar Awa RV Park. The casino first opened September 13, 1991.

My wife and I plan to return regularly and next time will bring several other couples with us.Viejas Casino is an Indian gaming casinoo owned by the Viejas Band of the Kumeyaay Indian Nation. The pool was a perfect temperature and we came away wishing we had been able to use it more. The stone work, Art, and decorations were beautiful and relaxing. The care given to the design of the hotel and grounds deserve an award. The Blueberry Pancakes were the best I’ve ever had! The Halibut (wild, line caught) Fish and Chips were excellent also. The food was carefully prepared and delicious! You could see the kitchen clearly from most tables and the chef’s obviously took great pride in every dish. Another restaurant featuring local fresh food was by and far our favorite. We went there for our anniversary and were very pleased that we did. The restaurants were excellent! The steakhouse was 5 Stars the whole way. Both my wife and I came home on the net positive side in terms of winnings along with a lot of fun.

There were non-smoking areas also but main areas were very good and I hate tobacco smoke. The Casino itself was clean, modern and tobacco smoke was at a minimum.

Attached to the grounds is a beautiful outlet mall with food, stores, water features and a roller skate park. We used Valet parking and never had to wait for our car after calling down ahead of time. The room maids outdid themselves providing excellent service. The bed was excellent and the room was comprised of a living room, bedroom and spacious and luxurious bathroom. What we got for the extra price was an adult pool, quiet hallways, and excellent service. The going rate for the Willows is very reasonable based on my review of comparisons. Willows is more costly than the regular Casino Hotel and is adults only. We played two and enjoyed them both (we booked early Tee times to avoid heat). We picked Viejas based on location and reviews and the fact that there were a number of good golf courses nearby. Alpine is about 2000 elevation and was a pleasant 70-80 degrees. We live in the Palm Springs area where it is currently around 110-117+ degrees so we’re looking for a cooler environment. My wife and I booked four days at the Willows (Viejas Casino and Resort) in Alpine, Ca about 25 miles East of San Diego.
